Frequently Asked Questions

Do you write for other (non-ICT) industries?

Absolutely!  While I specialise on technology and ICT, I am more than happy to write about anything.  In fact, my main website is all about family finance, trust funds and other areas of life.

How much do you charge?

The standard rate for specialist ICT services ranges from $650 (plus GST) through to $1500 (plus GST) per 8-hour day depending on the type of work.  The time required for a job varies from a few hours to a couple of weeks depending on the size of the job.

As a rough guide, it takes around 10 hours to put together an A4 page worth of material.

I am happy to charge by the hour or by the job – whatever suits.

I run a community/not-for-profit organisation – can you do any better on the price?

I am happy to provide support for community and not-for-profit organisations at a reduced fee.

Do I need to pay for revisions?

Each quote includes two rounds of revisions.  Changes in the original briefing or scope of work will require additional time and a revised quote.
